Inspired by Paul Auster's novel Travels in the Scriptorium, immerse yourself in the mind of a disoriented man

Normal Studio and theatre company Transthéâtre co-produced the immersive film Ma Réserve, directed by Brigitte Poupart and shot with a 360-degree camera created and developed by our studios.

Fiction filmed
in virtual reality

A short 12-minute film was presented at the Phi Center as part of the 4^th edition of Mutek in 2017. Featuring actor Robert Morin, the work was inspired by a story from the American writer Paul Auster and adapted by the playwright Fabien Cloutier. The first phase of a feature filmed with a 360-degree camera, Ma Réserve is an invitation to immerse yourself in the thoughts of a disoriented man trying to make sense of what happened to him.

A collaboration with
a multidisciplinary artist

Actress, director, artistic director, filmmaker, Brigitte Poupart has collaborated on more than forty theater productions, and many international films and documentaries since 1990, as well as having directed Cirque du Soleil’s show LUZIA.

Combining innovative
digital technologies

Normal installed the camera on drones, enabling director André Dufour to harness all of his creative energy and push the limits of déjà-vu. The result portrays a perfect cohesion between story, emotion and image.
