From the monumental stage of the Montréal Symphonique–reminiscent of Montreal’s skyline, to the immersive box of panoramic screens that surrounded the National Arts Center Orchestra with visuals in Life Reflected, Philippe craves ingenuity in his stage designs. His creative leitmotiv? Breaking out of the standard 16:9 format by putting forward stage designs that astound his audience.
Motivated by his clients’ success, his ethos relies on clever solutions and benefiting from teamwork, helping him lead great endeavours in which the multimedia tools that were sought out are used to augment the quality of a project.
Before co-founding Normal in 2009 with Mathieu St-Arnaud, Philippe spent 5 years as a Video Crew Chief for Solotech, working on arena tours with artists André Rieu, Alicia Keys and Akon and also on the Vancouver Olympic Games. This is where he mastered complex video systems and acquired a taste for unique projects. Philippe has a college diploma in Art et Technologie des Médias from Cégep de Jonquière.
Philippe is on the technological committee of HUB Montreal-the international creative industries market, and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.
